Toys for Tots is an annual event sponsored by the Overton Police Department and is under the direction of Officer Laura Graham.

     Started in 1998, with approximately 40 families being helped, the event has grown by leaps and bounds every year with 60 families receiving help in 1999 and over 100 families in the year 2000.

     Donations of toys and money to support the toy drive has been overwhelming from area residents and businesses. Hands on help has come from numerous areas in the community. The Billy Max Moore Correctional Facility has been invaluable as gift wrappers and the Overton Press has worked as a drop off point.

     The Overton Police Department looks forward to many more years of working with residents of Overton and the surrounding area to provide the truly needy with happy memories of a great holiday.
